Young Farmers’ offers their 25,000 members opportunities to develop skills, engage with their local communities, take part in competitions as well as offering varied programmes of activities and a very busy social life!

Your local club, Hadleigh YFC is all of the above! Having been reinstated, alongside our junior club Brett Valley in March 2012, the club is doing a good job of making our mark within the county. Every year, the clubs come together for a day of competitions, known as ‘The Rally’. As last years’ Rally winners, we were the hosts of this year’s Rally Party, The Hadleigh Hoedown! The team effort within the club was phenomenal; members as always went above and beyond to ensure that competitions were entered and that there was an excellent party to finish off the day. To our surprise, we managed to win the Rally for the second year running, and certainly celebrated our achievements at the Hoedown!

The club meets every Wednesday evening for tours, talks and visits. Recently we have had a tour of Ipswich Fire Station, been windsurfing at Alton Waters, had a croquet and cricket evening, as well as a couple of pub nights. Alongside the Wednesday programme, we have had an extremely busy summer social life! Ladies and Gents teams were both pulling in Tug of War competitions at the Hadleigh and Suffolk Show, of course both followed by nights out and parties. Congratulations to our Gents team, who went through to the Eastern Area rounds of TOW. Some of us have also been busy stewarding at the shows, and the International Polo. It’s always a pleasure to be invited to these numerous events.
